Commencing 4:00 p.m. 30 June 2008 GIO is an approved insurer for the provision of workers’ compensation insurance in the Northern Territory
In response to an identified need in the marketplace GIO General Ltd submitted a proposal to the Northern Territory government earlier this year. On 6 June GIO was granted a licence to provide workers compensation insurance to Northern Territory employers.
GIO is committed to working with NT WorkSafe to continuously improve scheme outcomes for the Northern Territory Government, employers and injured workers.
