Yes, all drivers who will repeatedly drive your car should be listed, apart from learner drivers who are not required to be listed. Listing additional drivers can affect the price you pay for your insurance and if the additional drivers are inexperienced (aged 25 or over and licenced for less than two years) or under 25 years old, an extra excess of $400 will apply in addition to any other excess in the event of a claim.

Although learner drivers do not need to be listed, in the event they are driving, using or in charge of your vehicle (and at-fault) at the time of an incident, the relevant additional age or inexperienced driver excess will apply.

If you don’t list a person who repeatedly drives your car, it may result in a higher excess applying at the time of a claim and/or a reduction of or refusal of a claim.
