How much will Motorcycle Insurance cost?

The cost of Motorbike Insurance will vary depending on your level of cover. Third Party Property Damage cover is often the cheapest form of cover, offering protection in the event of an incident caused by you. While you may pay more for Comprehensive Motorcycle Insurance, it covers you for all that Third Party Property Damage insurance does, plus accidental loss or damage cover.

What isn't covered by my policy?

NSW Compulsory Third Party Insurance (CTP) and ACT Motor Accident Injuries (MAI) Insurance is compulsory for all vehicles registered in NSW or the ACT. Unlike Motorcycle Insurance, NSW CTP and ACT MAI Insurance provide cover for injury to you, your family and other road users in the event of a motor vehicle accident.

If you live in the ACT you can select your preferred insurer when registering your vehicle, and if you live in NSW, you can purchase your CTP Green Slip directly through an insurance provider.

Do you need CTP Insurance?

Compulsory Third Party (CTP) Personal Injury Insurance, also known as a Green Slip, is mandatory in NSW and must be purchased before you can register your vehicle.

CTP covers your liability and the liability of anyone else who drives your vehicle, for injuries caused to others in a motor accident.

ACT Motor Accident Injuries Insurance (MAI Insurance) was previously known as CTP Insurance and is mandatory in ACT in order to register your vehicle. It provides cover for injury to you, your family and other road users in the event of a motor vehicle accident – regardless of who is at fault.
