What is the definition of a ‘worker’?
Generally, a ‘worker’ is an individual who works under a contract of service with an employer, whether the contract is expressed or implied, oral or written, or an individual who works under a contract or at piecework rates for labour or substantially labour only. Workers’ also include casuals, working directors of the company, outworkers, and in certain cases, contractors.
